Step 1: Access this baseball data set

Step 2: Create a measure selector

  • That lets your audience pick between batting average and earned run average (ERA).

Step 3: Create a hierarchy

  • That goes from Conference -> Division -> Team -> Player

Step 4: Create a set

  • That is based on the top X players by selected measure.

Step 5: Create a bar chart

  • That lets you drill-up and down your hierarchy, viewing AVG([Selected Measure]) for the Top X players in each Conference -> Division -> Team

Step 6: Add filters

  • To make it easier to filter for specific Conferences, Divisions, Teams.
